We are a multidisciplinary group of scientists interested in understanding how human pressures affect biodiversity, ecosystems and the benefits humans obtain from nature. We use a mixture of fieldwork, laboratory work and computer-based modeling to understand the relationships between social, ecological and economic drivers of threats to global ecosystems. When not collecting data in one of the 42 countries where we currently work, we meet once a week, in Conservation Club, to discuss the latest research. We are funded by UK and international research councils, Governments and NGO’s.
